Flag ceremony set for Sunday at Legion

American Legion Post 58, Greencastle, will conduct a flag disposal ceremony at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 14 at the post at 1401 Indianapolis Rd.

Anyone having flags that need to be properly disposed of may bring them to the Legion anytime this week during the hours of 1-9 p.m. Additionally, the post will have a disposal box beside the door.

The post also will be serving a two-piece fried chicken dinner for $7 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

  • The proper terminology is "Flag Retirement" not "Flag Burning".
