Let the Repaving Begin

Thursday, June 11, 2015
Traffic is backed up on North Jackson Street Thursday morning as an Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crew mills the pavement of U.S. 231 in preparation for resurfacing. The areas along U.S. 231 that INDOT maintenance crews will be repaving in Greencastle are from Shadowlawn Avenue by railroad tracks to Columbia Street, as well as from Locust Street to College Avenue and from Seminary Street to Hanna Street. The project is likely to continue into next week, depending on the weather, an INDOT spokesman said. (Banner Graphic/ERIC BERNSEE)

  • Finally! This stretch of road has been an embarrassment to Greencastle for a long time. Now if they can just re-do Highway 240 . . .
