In the Round

If you've ever driven down East Washington Street in Greencastle and wondered about the turret room at the Valentine House on the north side of the road, Saturday was your chance to find out what's inside. Georgenna Gick (left) of the HPS explains some of the features of the room -- like its nine windows, including four curved windows in the turret -- to Lynn and Tom Webb of Greencastle. The Webbs were among the visitors to the open house at the 1894 Queen Anne Victorian home of Margaret Kenton and Bruce Wong, conducted as a fundraiser by the Heritage Preservation Society of Putnam County for the courthouse clocks project.
