Fairgrounds Endowment fundraisers set June 27

In the ongoing effort to develop the Putnam County Fairgrounds, a pair of Saturday, June 27 events will benefits the Putnam County Fairgrounds Endowment.

The "I'm a FAIR Runner!" 5K walk/run will begin at the Fairgrounds at 9 a.m.

Entry fee is $20 per person with all proceeds going to the endowment.

All paid entries by Friday, June 19 will ensure a T-shirt from the event. All paid participants will also receive a coupon for a free meal at the hog roast that evening.

The 2015 Putnam County Fair Kick Off Hog Roast is set for 6 p.m. on June 27 at the York Automotive Family Community Building.

Help support the Putnam County 4-H Youth Program and celebrate the upcoming Putnam County Fair with good food and a DJ.

Sponsors for the event are Legan Livestock and Grain, Scobee Meats, Co-Alliance, Land O' Lakes and CountryMark.

Cost is a $5 minimum donation per plate with ages six and under free.
