Improving Bainbridge

True to its long-standing tradition, the Bainbridge Improvement Society has again contributed to local projects in the Bainbridge community. The donations included $3,000 to the North Putnam Youth Baseball League to assist in the recent renovation of the Clarence Steward Ball Park in Bainbridge. Likewise, Mortonville Fireworks received $500 to help defray expenses for the upcoming July 4th Fireworks Show in Bainbridge. Attending the presentation were (from left) acting president of North Putnam Youth Baseball League Robert Helderman, BIS President John Kessinger, Secretary Donna Tippin, Vice President Linda Hartman,Dave Nelson and Jeff Watson, co-owners of the Mortonville Fireworks, and BIS Treasurer Thursa Evens, BIS Treasurer. They are standing in front of the new stage in the Bainbridge Community Building that was built during the winter to enhance scheduled events in the building. On Saturday, June 20, the Bainbridge Improvement Society will be having its semi-annual Jonah Fish Fry at the Bainbridge Community Building on U.S. 36 from 4:30-8 p.m. All-you-can-eat fish, two sides and drink are $8.50.
