Donald Leo Head Sr.

Donald Leo Head Sr., 85, a resident of Middletown, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Indianapolis on May 1, 1930, the son of Charles and Carrie Mae Kennedy Head.

He was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis and the University of Wisconsin with a degree in nuclear engineering.

He was a 50-year member of Circle City Lodge F & AM, Indianapolis, and a member of the Elks, Eagles, Moose and Lions clubs.

He was an underwriter for Travelers Insurance and owner of the Larch Insurance Agency.

Survivors include his children, Fred Head, of Greencastle, Chuck Head (Sharon), of Middletown, and Donald Head II, of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Shannon Sinclair, Charles Head Jr., Donald Head III, Jenny Head and Johannah Head.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandchild.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27 at Ballard and Sons, 118 S. Fifth St., Middletown. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
