Submitted photo Bainbridge Elementary Student Council was recognized by the Indiana Association of Student Councils (IASC) as an honor council for the 2014-15 school year. Only 25 schools with student councils in the state are recognized each year. One of the service projects completed by Bainbridge Elementary students this year was donating seven boxes of pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House. While there, the group of third through fifth-graders were given a tour of Riley Children's Hospital. The IASC website says the Honor Council Award recognizes student councils in the state that excel in local projects, participate in state and district activities, provide an opportunity for members to expand leadership skills, cooperate with organizations within their school and community and are actively involved with the Riley Kids Care and Sharing Program.
