Recent recipients of scholarships from the Purdue Club of Putnam County pose with club representatives following the annual golf outing dinner Wednesday night at Autum Glen. Congratulating the Putnam County scholars are Purdue Club President Ron Birt (right), Jerry Williams (left) and Rodger Winger. Five of the seven scholarship winners attending or planning to attend Purdue were present, including (third from left) Allacyn Arnold, a freshman pharmacy major from South Putnam; Emily Dobson, a freshman ag education and communications major from South Putnam; Tatum Straziscar, a junior speech pathology and Spanish double major from North Putnam; Zane Crosby, a freshman agronomy business and marketing major from South Putnam; and Jason Ummel, a freshman biomedical engineering major from Greencastle High School. Not pictured are Collin Berry, a freshman farm management major from South Putnam, and Cameron Mann, a junior ag communications and marketing majorfrom Cloverdale. Arnold, Mann, Straziscar and Ummel were awarded Purdue Club scholarships, while Berry, Crosby and Dobson won Ed and Barabara Brookshire Scholarships from the local club.
