* At 12:22 p.m. Monday, Taylor J. Sandefur, 17, Stilesville, was northbound on Crowe's Bridge in a 2008 Nissan Altima when she met Donald Smallwood, 70, Greencastle, who was southbound at the north entrance of the bridge in a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado.

Sandefur told Lt. Gregg Slover she could not stop due to the wooden floor of the bridge being wet and could not avoid the collision.

Smallwood said he was southbound on County Road 100 East approaching the bridge and did not see Sandefur's car. He said he attempted to stop but could not.

Smallwood said his vision was blocked at the bridge due to extremely thick and tall foliage at the entrance of the bridge.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Cecil Jackson, 63, Spencer, was northbound on U.S. 231 near County Road 800 South in a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, pulling a trailer with a 1999 Chevrolet Sierra on the bed.

Jackson advised Capt. Tom Helmer he lost control of the vehicle due to the trailer becoming unstable and started "whipping back and forth." He slid off the road, traveled across the paved shoulder and exited the road on the east side.

The trailer hitch broke loose, causing it to impact the right rear of the Cherokee as it jackknifed, then came to a stop. The weight of the load as well as wet pavement contributed to the accident.

Damage was listed as $2,501-$5,000.
