Elsie Alice McKeehan

Elsie Alice McKeehan, 87, of Elkhart, died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Alice was born on June 2, 1928 in Putnam County to Paul and Grace (Harmon) McKeehan.

She is survived by lifelong best friend, Harriett Campbell, Elkhart, and a foster niece, Tina (Randy) Dorrier, Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roger David McKeehan, in 1936.

Alice graduated from Purdue University with her Bachelor's Degree and her Master's Degree in 1956.

She taught at Elkhart High School, Memorial High School and at Mishawaka High School for three years.

Alice was a member of Central Christian Church. She was also the past president of the Elkhart Teachers Association from 1961-1963.

Alice was a life member of the AAUW, NEA and Purdue Alumni Association. She was active with the Indiana State Retired Teachers Association and a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma.

Per Alice's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
