Banner Graphic/ERIC BERNSEE The newest Greencastle Police Department officer, Zachary Rhine, is sworn in Tuesday afternoon by Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray during a ceremony at City Hall. Rhine, a 2006 South Putnam High School product, is the 16th fulltime officer at GPD, restoring the department to full strength following this year's spate of retirements involving Officers Albert Epple, Terry Eastham and Mike Hanlon. A 2010 University of Indianapolis graduate who majored in criminal justice, Rhine has completed one year of law school through the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich. Rhine resides in Cloverdale with wife Amber and their nine-month-old son Lincoln. He is the son of local residents Renee Marsteller and Rick Rhine.
