VFW Post organizes Ride for Bree

Greencastle VFW Post 1550 will host a ride on Saturday to benefit a local girl fighting cancer.

The Ride For Bree will raise money for Abryanna Jewell of Greencastle as she battles stage 4 Rhabdomysarcoma.

The ride, which welcomes both cars and motorcycles, will begin at 11 a.m. at Post 1550 at 819 S. Jackson St., Greencastle.

Stops along the way will include posts in Spencer, Martinsville and Mooresville, with an estimated arrival back in Greencastle between 3 and 4 p.m.

Pre-registration is available at Post 1550 or by calling 720-3204. Cost is $20 for singles or $25 for couples and includes the evening meal.

Registration the day of the ride is $30 for a single and $35 per couple and also includes the evening meal. Registration period will be 8-10:30 a.m.

Breakfast will be available for $3 per person.

Dinner of pulled pork and all the trimmings will be served by the Ladies Auxiliary from 4:30-7 p.m. The meal only costs $12 per plate.

Music provided by Sound Experience will begin at 6 p.m.

T-shirts and bracelets will be available for sale. Call 720-3204 in advance for a T-shirt

All proceeds will go directly to the family.

The event will also include a 50-50 drawing and raffles.

A meet and greet with Bree will take place from 5-6 p.m. if she is able.
