Jimmy Beasley Jr. named White River assistant principal, AD

SWITZ CITY -- At its Tuesday meeting the White River Valley School Board approved the hiring of Jimmy Beasley Jr. as assistant principal and athletic director for White River Valley Junior-Senior High School.

Beasley will begin his new duties Monday, July 27.

He joins WRV after spending the past two years as an English teacher for Greencastle Middle School. He also served as junior varsity head basketball coach and varsity assistant coach for Greencastle High School.

Beasley was also varsity assistant football coach for the Tiger Cubs.

Prior to his tenure at Greencastle, Beasley was the athletic director and assistant lead educator for the Patriot Academy in Butlerville, Ind., where he led the school's admittance into the IHSAA.

Beasley served as assistant basketball coach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology for one season (2010-11).

The new White River Valley administrator has been a member of the Indiana Army National Guard since 2003. Beasley currently holds the rank of first lieutenant and is company commander for the HHD 81st TC stationed in Terre Haute.

"We are excited to have Jimmy Beasley join the Wolverine family," WRV Superintendent Bob Hacker said. "His commitment and passion to serve the growth and development of students stands out as a positive attribute."

Supt. Hacker continued, "We appreciate Jimmy's service and believe he brings a positive and proactive servant leadership ability to our school."

Beasley and his wife Chelsea have three boys - Griffith (age 7), Kainan (age 4) and Paxton (age 1). The family resides in Greencastle.
