Wednesday, July 29, 2015

The Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has announced the selection of Brian Cox as its new executive director.

Brian Cox

Cox fills the position following Tammy Johnson's departure last month after 15 years in the executive director role.

Cox worked as an insurance agent for the past eight years and before that ran his family's dairy farm in Westfield.

He brings sales and marketing experience to the Chamber as well as a passion for making connections and a desire to volunteer and give back as much as possible.

Cox has served on many nonprofit boards and believes they are important for the success of our community.

"The Greater Greencastle Chamber is an exciting and important part of what makes our community a great place to live," Cox said. "I look forward to continuing to build relationships between the Chamber and the business community while also informing residents of Putnam County about what our businesses, nonprofits and the Chamber do and what we have to offer them."

An open house at the Chamber office is scheduled Thursday, Aug. 20 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for the community to stop by and meet the new director.

The office is located at 16 S. Jackson St.

The Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce serves as a source of information for businesses, citizens and visitors and provides its members with advertising and networking opportunities to enable them to achieve their optimum success.
