County Council changes August meeting time

The Putnam County Council will meet on its regular meeting date in August, but 90 minutes earlier than normal.

The Tuesday, Aug. 18 meeting is set to take place at 5 p.m.

The council's regular meeting is earlier because it will be meeting earlier in the day for 2015 budget hearings.

Budget hearings are set for noon on Monday, Aug. 17 and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18. After meeting with representatives of each county department over the first two days, the council will reconvene at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19 for budget discussions.
