Tucker named DPU assistant

Cameron Tucker, most recently assistant women's basketball coach at Southeast Missouri State University, has been named assistant women's basketball coach at DePauw University.

Tucker served one season as the Redhawks' recruiting coordinator where he signed five recruits including three ranked in ESPN's top 300 and he also oversaw the program's budget.

Prior to that he served as head coach at Scotland's University of Edinburgh where he led the top team in Scotland to a tie for fifth in the United Kingdom. During his tenure there, Tucker transitioned the program to the Premier Division which is the top conference in the United Kingdom.

He also served stints as a women's assistant coach at Houston Baptist University (2012-13), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2008-12), Warner University (2007-08) and Ball State University (2006-07).

Tucker earned a bachelor of arts degree from Ball State in history before obtaining a master of arts in physical education with a coaching speculation from Ball State. He began his undergraduate work at University of Iowa where he was a student manager for the Hawkeyes' men's basketball program.

A national evaluator for Blue Star Basketball from 2012-14, Tucker also served as a student assistant for the girls' basketball team at New Castle (Indiana) High School.
