Mill Pond Health Campus to host Adopt a Senior Day

Wednesday, August 5, 2015

Mill Pond Health Campus, a provider of senior health and living services, will be hosting its second annual Adopt a Senior Day as a way for community members to reach out to residents who do not normally receive visitors.

Many residents can go weeks or months without receiving visitors to their home at Mill Pond Health Campus. These men and women long for social interaction, and would relish the opportunity to meet new people.

On Friday, Aug. 21, Mill Pond asks that 90 community members come make a positive difference in the lives of these special people by spending some of their evening with them.

Interested community members can sign up for this event by contacting Mill Pond Health Campus at 653-4397 by Aug. 10.

Mill Pond will then provide information regarding the adopted senior, including their gender and a few of their interests. Those who participate are asked to bring a gift ranging from $10 to $20.

Attendees should meet at Mill Pond Health Campus at 6 p.m. Aug. 21 when they will be introduced to their senior and a fiesta celebration will commence.

Entire families are encouraged to participate. One resident can be assigned to each family member. Donating just a small amount of time can make all the difference in the world to someone who is lonely.

For any questions, persons may contact Brooke Trissel at 720-4706.
