Hooves helping humanity

Whether your trottors are hooved or of the regular sort, you are officially invited to join the Greencastle Elks Lodge in their 2015 golf scramble on Aug. 29 at Windy Hill Country Club.

Beginning at 8 a.m., the scramble is open to the public with registration beginning the same day at 7 a.m.

A cool $50 registration fee (per person) gets you not only a round on the links, it also gets you into a phenomenal cookout slated to take place immediately after the scramble. Simply return to the Elks Lodge after your last hole for hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad and baked beans.

All winnings and door prizes will be distributed during the lunch and all proceeds are for the benefit of the Elks Cancer Fund.

Registration will include a drink ticket that can be used at the Windy Hill for that Saturday only.

Registration will take place at the club's bar inside the clubhouse.
