First Sgt. Mark Wilson (left) from the Greencastle National Guard Armory receives a $450 check for the Wounded Warrior project from John Slater, representing UAW Local 2382 and its Veterans Committee. Other committee members not pictured are Robert Snedigar, Brian Lohr, David Carrier and Steve Ranard. The committee sold raffle tickets to raise money in support of the worthy cause. Veterans Committee Chairman Snedigar is currently on active duty, but during the time he was on reserve and working through the Greencastle Armory he asked what the UAW could do to help and the Wounded Warrior program was suggested. The program provides assistance to injured soldiers with things such as artificial limbs when they return home from conflict.
