Ivy Tech Community College in Greencastle kicked off the fall semester Monday with students diving right into the learning process. Nursing instructor Bethany Chidley demonstrates how to take a patient's blood pressure on first year nursing student Alisha O'Brien. Campus President Greg Cook said the school is starting off on a positive note with a 12 to 14 percent growth from last year. The Greencastle campus is offering 61 course section sat the campus, which includes the general education transfer core, licensed practical nursing, business administration and human services. The Greencastle campus also offers courses which apply toward degrees available at other Ivy Tech campuses. The campus offers enrichment courses as well, such as guitar and photography classes. Cook said he is appreciative of Putnam County's engagement in the educational process.
