With the OverDrive app, the Roachdale Public Library is now able to offer borrowing of digital eBooks, audiobooks, periodicals and streaming video.

Roachdale Public Library has expanded its services with eBooks, digital audiobooks, magazines, newspapers and streaming video available to enjoy from the library's website. Library card holders can borrow popular digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting http://cidc.lib.overdrive.com.

Users may browse the library's website, borrow titles with a valid library card, and start reading, listening or watching on all major computers and devices, including iPhone, iPad, Nook, Android and Kindle.

Many titles can be enjoyed immediately on any device with an Internet browser or downloaded into the free OverDrive app. All titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees.

Roachdale Public Library Director Jennifer Stranger said the staff is happy to be offering new digital options to patrons.

"We are excited to offer a new level of service to Roachdale," Stranger said. "OverDrive content is shared throughout the state of Indiana, so our users have access to a much wider variety of materials. There are options for patrons of all ages, and the service offers features such as parental controls, recommended titles based on a patron's personal preferences and even adaptive features: Audio books, a font specific for those with dyslexia, as well as narrated books."

This new service, powered by OverDrive, is free for users with a library card. To get started enjoying eBooks, audiobooks and more, visit http://cidc.lib.overdrive.com.
