Young Eagles Week

Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray signed a proclamation recently declaring Sept. 7-13 as Young Eagles Week. The designation was presented as Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1374 prepares for the annual Herald Broyles Young Eagle Rally Sept. 12-13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Putnam County Airport. Joining the mayor were president of the Putnam County Airport Authority Duane Skoog (sitting, left), Young Eagle Coordinator Jack Sutton, treasurer of the Airport Authority Rex Eaton (back left), Young Eagle treasurer Sharon Reinoehl and Young Eagle member Gregg Reinoehl. Not pictured are mentors William and Gerry Roady. The EAA Chapter will be at the Airport Appreciation Days to provide area youth ages 8-17 an opportunity to ride in a plane free of charge.
