United Way golf scramble set for Friday

Monday, September 7, 2015

The United Way of Putnam County will be holding its 35th annual golf scramble on Friday, Sept. 11, located this year at Clover Meadows Golf Course in Cloverdale.

Sponsored by United Way of Putnam County, Endeavor Communications, Hayes-Murphy-Sharp-Brackney Insurance and NSSB, the four-person team golf scramble will feature veterans' discounts, a golf ball drop competition and a hole-in-one competition.

The $50 fee (per person, or $200 per team) includes a round of golf, a golf cart, "favors" and a post-event meal.

However, if you are a veteran, you can receive these same amenities at the discounted rate of $25 per person or $100 per team.

Registration will take place on Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to noon at Clover Meadows. The scramble will commence immediately after registration at noon.

If registering online, you can select payment methods via mail-in check, invoices or to pay when arriving at the event. You will receive a confirmation email for your reservation within 24 hours. If no confirmation is received, or if you'd like more information about the event, contact United Way Representative Jennifer Edwards at 653-5638 or jennifer@unitedwayofputnamcounty.org.
