PCPL participates in 'Observe the Moon Night' Sept. 19

Friday, September 11, 2015

On Saturday, Sept. 19, from 7-8:30 p.m., "Moon Night" is dedicated to encouraging people to look up and take notice of our nearest neighbor, the Moon.

Every year on the same day, people from around the world hold events to celebrate the moon. Moon Night has become an annual event for the library, and this year's program features activities for all ages.

These include moon viewing through telescopes, including DePauw's Celestron telescope, craft projects including paper mache' lantern making for adults, children's crafts and learning stations, and new this year, your photographs taken on a "Paper Moon."

The International Observe the Moon Night Team consists of scientists, educators and Moon enthusiasts from the public and private sectors around the world.
