County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 3:20 p.m. on Friday, Kellie Sue Morphew was arrested on a warrant for two counts of check forgery.

* At 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jonathan Cole Muse, 23, Cloverdale, was charged with domestic battery.

At 3:40 a.m. Lynn Dwight Holt Jr., 34, Greencastle, was booked in for operating while intoxicated.

At 4:45 p.m. Andre Dwayne Giden, 38, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a warrant for strangulation and battery with bodily injury.

* At 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Rohul Batheja, 27, Indianapolis, was charged with driving while intoxicated.

At 6:48 a.m. Anthony Deonte Douglas, 22, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail on a Marion County warrant.

* At 10:25 a.m. on Monday, Angelia Suelene Farris, 47, Advance, was booked in for failure to appear.

At 2:20 p.m. Charles Paul Hoeferle, 31, Crawfordsville, was arrested for failure to appear.

At 4:30 p.m. Vernon Allen Hendrickson, 59, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

At 5:30 p.m. Andrea Laterra Lee, 30, Terre Haute, was booked in on a warrant for driving with a suspended license.

City Police

A pair of recent property-damage accidents resulted in the arrest of a driver on alcohol-related charges, Greencastle City Police reported.

* At 12:27 a.m. Tuesday, Jeff Alan Beaman, 54, Greencastle, was arrested at Jaycee Park by Officer Zachary Rhine on a public intoxication charge.

Police said Beaman drove his 1996 Toyota Tacoma into three driveway posts at the park, resulting in an estimated $1,000 damage to city property.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Beaman registered a .205 percent blood-alcohol level on portable breathalyzer testing (PBT). A blood-alcohol reading of .08 percent is considered intoxicated under Indiana law.

* At 3:58 a.m. Sunday, Emily Catherine Skoniecki, 23, Greencastle, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated after being involved in an accident on Horseshoe Drive at the Round Barn Manor apartment complex on the city's East Side.

Capt. Charles Inman reported that Skoniecke was driving a 2011 Honda CVR when her car struck a parked 2000 Lincoln Continental, owned by Candy Swenson, Greencastle, pushing it into a parked 1991 Ford Ranger, owned by Candi Neibarger, Greencastle.

Total damage was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.

Under PBT testing, Skoniecke registered a .173 percent blood-alcohol content, Capt. Inman reported.

Two additional property-damage accidents were investigated recently by city officers.

* At 8:09 a.m. Sunday, the glare of the sun was blamed for a minor mishap on East Franklin Street, just east of Arlington Street.

Alyssa Borchak, 34, Greencastle, was eastbound, driving a 2012 Dodge Journey, Capt. Chris Jones reported, and due to the glare from the sun she failed to see a 2007 Suzuki Forenza, owned by Mike Johnson, Greencastle, parked along the south side of Franklin Street and a collision occurred.

Total damage was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.

* At 12:14 a.m. Sunday, a two-vehicle mishap occurred at Jackson and Franklin streets on the northwest side of the courthouse square.

Capt. Inman reported that Sierra Torr, 18, Greencastle, was southbound on Jackson Street, driving a 2002 Dodge Durango, when Steven Drake, 65, Bloomington, failed to yield the right of way and entered the intersection eastbound in a 2002 Chevrolet S-10

Total damage was listed at $1,000-$2,500.

Cloverdale Police

The Cloverdale Police Department made the following arrests recently.

* At 10:10 p.m. Saturday, Jacob M. Gibson, 20, Gosport, was arrested on charges of dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

CPD Officer Mark Hoppus conducted a traffic stop on Gibson when he noticed paraphernalia commonly associated with the use of marijuana in plain view.

A subsequent search of Gibson's vehicle revealed several items associated with the use of marijuana, as well as several packages of marijuana that were packaged for individual sale.

* At 8:50 p.m. Sunday, Jessica M. Holsapple, 37, Cloverdale, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

Officer Hoppus conducted a traffic stop on Holsapple, and at the conclusion of the traffic stop she gave Officer Hoppus consent to search her vehicle. He located methamphetamine and paraphernalia associated with the drug.

CPD issued the following citations over the weekend.

* Derek Douglas, 24, Indianapolis, operating without ever receiving a license.

* Rahul R. Antagmari, 24, El Paso, Texas, was cited for speeding. He was traveling 66 mph in a 45-mph area.

* Joseph H. Wolski, 26, Indianapolis, was cited for speeding. He was traveling 63 mph in a 45-mph area.

* John T. Roberts, 19, Carmel, was cited for speeding. He was traveling 75 mph in a 55-mph area.

* Chandler L. Pursell, 21, Crawfordsville, was cited for speeding. He was traveling 58 mph in a 45-mph area.
