PCPL Book Walk

Wednesday, September 16, 2015
While on lunch break Wednesday, Tiffany Deer took her sons Levi, 4, and Dirk, 1, to read "Rosie's Walk" by Pat Hutchins at Robe-Ann Park. The Putnam County Public Library has the pages of the book staked in the ground at two locations for a Book Walk. The book can be found at DePauw Nature Park's Woodland Trail No. 1 or the secondary location at the park, which is on a paved sidewalk. Connie Wrightsman, who works at the PCPL circulation desk, said the project was coordinated with Children's Outreach Librarian Lesley Stimpert to "take the library outside, but still involve literacy." The Book Walk will remain open until Monday. (Banner Graphic/Sabrina Westfall)

  • Kudos to these two ladies for trying something new and exciting to interact with the public!
