Latest stray animals being held at shelter

Here are the latest stray animals currently held at the Putnam County Animal Care and Control Shelter, 4700 E. State Road 240.

-- Cat: Adult, male orange tiger, found at VanBibber Lake.

-- Cat: Young, male, ticked-coat Tabby, found on Avenue E in Greencastle.

-- Cat: Adult, male, gray and white, short-haired, found near I-70 and SR 243.

-- Dog: Young, female, Labrador mix, found on Avenue D in Greencastle.

These animals were not wearing identification and were not microchipped.

To claim an animal you must present proof of ownership.

Public hours at the shelter are 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
