The Putnam County Community Foundation has announced that Andrew Hayenga, of Bohlsen Group, is coming to Greencastle to help local leaders market their organization's story.

The workshop will take place on Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Inn at DePauw.

Andrew Hayenga has 15 years of experience as a professional storyteller, first as a broadcast television news reporter then in communications and public relations management.

He currently leads the team at Bohlsen Group that manages nonprofit client accounts and supports a robust pro bono program providing extensive free services to nonprofit organizations. The workshop is designed to help nonprofits compose and fine-tune their organizational narrative, and use data to effectively market that narrative for best success. In describing the workshop, Hayenga said, "Storytelling is what marketing is all about, and every nonprofit has a story to tell."

During the workshop, various marketing strategies using multiple forms of media will be discussed.

The Nonprofit Learning Series is designed to enrich and advance nonprofit associations, organizations, churches and units of government.

The cost includes the workshop, a catered lunch and all workshop materials.
