County Jail

Four people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Eric Von Cammon, 55, no city listed, was lodged at the jail on a hold for another county.

At 5:25 p.m. Christopher Wayne Johnson, 37, Poland, was arrested for possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

At 7:40 p.m. Clarence William Gilmore, 27, Beech Grove, was booked in for probation violation.

* At 5:35 a.m. Caitlin Marie Abdon, 21, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

City Police

One arrest was reported early Friday by Greencastle City Police officers.

Sigmund Augustus Croan, 23, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Brad Hiatt at 12:09 a.m. Friday at a Zinc Mill Terrace apartment.

Charged with theft, Croan was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

He allegedly stole a bicycle from another apartment in the complex. The bike is valued at less than $100.

Meanwhile, one property-damage accident was investigated Wednesday morning by Capt. Chris Jones.

The mishap occurred at 10:58 a.m. on East Franklin Street, east of South Arlington, as Kylie Thompson, 27, Cloverdale, was eastbound on Franklin, driving a 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck.

Thompson told police she thought her vehicle was over enough to avoid hitting a parked 1994 Geo Metro, parked on the south side of Franklin Street. However, her truck struck the driver's side of the Metro, owned by Mike Johnson, Greencastle.

Total damage was estimated at $1,000-$2,500.

Cloverdale Police

The Cloverdale Police Department issued two speeding citations recently.

* Dorinda L. Brock, 43, Spencer, was cited for speeding. She was ticketed for 44 mph in a 30-mph zone.

* Brittany M. Saul, 19, Cloverdale, was cited for speeding. She was ticketed for 59 mph in a 45-mph zone.
