Dr. Lloyd, Sgt. Watts to speak at October 'Dine with a Doc'

Friday, October 23, 2015

Senior Education Ministries of Greencastle has scheduled a Dine with a Doc session on Oct. 26 (fourth Monday, monthly) at Putnam County Hospital with guest speakers Dr. Frank Lloyd and Sgt. Joe Watts set to speak from 10 a.m. to noon.

Dr. Lloyd studied at DePauw University and the Indiana University School of Medicine and has completed his surgical residency at the University of Washington, D.C. He has also earned a bachelor of science degree in zoology, a fellowship in surgical oncology and a certification in biotechnology.

He decided to pursue medicine because of his father, a former obstetrician and gynecologist, he said.

"I enjoy science and I enjoy helping people."

After attending DePauw, Dr. Lloyd felt his services would support Dr. LG Palanca and help enhance patient care at PCH.

As part of the team at Putnam Surgical Specialties, he is available for consultation on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

By special request, Indiana State Police Public Information Officer (Sgt.) Watts will discuss safety tips for seniors.

This free program is a community effort of doctors, lunch sponsors, area businesses, local churches and senior citizens.

Brunch will be complimentary and provided courtesy of Mill Pond Health Campus.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling (toll free) 877-223-6109.
