Fresh off the Vine

Putting the finishing touches on some of the new asphalt on South Vine Street at its intersection with East Poplar Street in Greencastle, the construction crew makes progress on finishing the city's final streetscape project Thursday. Nearing its completion, the Vine Street Streetscape project is expected to achieve the "substantial completion" stage by next week, it was noted during the recent October Greencastle City Council meeting. Except for the jutting out turns which will cause headaches for years to motorists trying to make their way around town and the small grass areas at each corner which will need mowed in the summer time, I suppose one can say this project and others like it in the city are improvements.
