Union Chapel celebrates ministry of Dale Payne

Union Chapel United Methodist Church recently celebrated 50 years of ministry for Pastor Dale Payne and wife Judy of Rockville.

The first church the Paynes served was the New Market United Methodist church in September 1965.

A celebration and dedication service took place in September special music from Betty Selch and Gay Ann Hiatt.

The Paynes' son Kevin presented his father with a blue and white satin stole for his white robe.

The cross-shaped cake was served following the service during a time of fellowship that included memories of 50 years of service.

They Paynes thankful for all who participated and attended as well as for the love gift and cards.
