Kenneth D. Jones

Kenneth D. Jones, 80, Cloverdale, passed away on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at St. Vincent Heart Center, Carmel.

He was born April 5, 1935 in Owen County, and was the son of the late William Edward Jones and Mattie Ellen (Arnold) Jones.

He married Beverly A. Haltom on May 30, 1957 and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2008.

He is survived by his sons, Melvin Jones and Jean Beck, Cloverdale, and Michael Jones and Kelsey Turner, Quincy; his brothers, Oren E. Jones, Quincy, and Keith Jones and wife Charlotte, Greencastle; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was retired from IBM Corp. at Greencastle and was also a farmer.

He was a charter member of the Deer Creek Coon Hunters.

He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Lee Jones; his sister, Betty Collier; and his brothers, Byron Jones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 8 from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Mannan Cemetery.
