With three positions up for election for the coming year, the Putnam County Fair Board put new members in all three positions during their October meeting last week.

Val Haddon, who had previously served as the board secretary, was elected the new president, defeating incumbent Ray Poynter Jr.

Likewise, David Gilley was elected vice president over previous VP Gary Stevens.

President and vice president are one-year terms.

Steve Vaughn was elected to a two-year term as board secretary.

Treasurer Curt Krominaker is only one year into his two-year term.

Haddon thanked her fellow board members for their support.

"I am honored to have been selected by fellow fair board members to lead our organization through the next year," Haddon said. "I am looking forward to working with board members, volunteers, and the community to continue improving our 4-H fair program and facilities and to support our 4-H'ers."
