Mill Pond Health Campus to host Family Forum Book Club

Friday, November 6, 2015

As part of an ongoing commitment to provide education and support to the family members of its residents, Mill Pond Health Campus will be hosting a Book Club as part of its Family Forum program.

The monthly Family Forums provide a way in which care and support is provided for family members of those on their Alzheimer's or dementia journey.

At the monthly meetings, family members are provided tips and strategies for coping with dementia, while they listen to special guest speakers and enjoy complimentary appetizers created by the Dining Services Team.

The book selections for the upcoming year are:

-- "While I Still Can" by Rick Phelps.

-- "Still Alice" by Lisa Genova.

-- "I Will Never Forget" by Elaine Periera.

-- "The Unintended Journey" by Janet Yagoda Shagman.

The Family Forum Book Club will meet the second Thursday of each month, from 5-6 p.m., with its first meeting scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 14.

Anyone interested in joining the Book Club is asked to contact Mill Pond Community Service representative Brooke Trissel at 720-4706.
