Craig Paré will conduct the DePauw University Band in a concert benefiting the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Green Center's Kresge Auditorium.

Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry.

The ensemble invites all audience members to bring one or more non-perishable food items Sunday to be donated to the Putnam County Food Pantry.

Anyone presenting a food item to the box office will receive a free ticket to the University Band's performance. Free-will cash donations will also be accepted.

With its rich and varied history of original works and transcriptions, the University Band has planned a program of six pieces, featuring the versatility of the ensemble musicians.

Sunday's program opens with "Fanfare for Fenway" by the Academy Award-winning composer John Williams. Created as a tribute to "America's Most Beloved Ballpark," Williams, a longtime Red Sox fan, premiered the work in 2012 during the 100th anniversary celebration of Fenway Park.

"Overture to Candide," by another quintessential American composer Leonard Bernstein, will follow, along with a tribute to Vietnam veterans, "Heroes, Lost and Fallen," by David Gillingham. "Teddy Trombone," composed in a rag style by Henry Fillmore, king of the trombone "smear," features the band's trombone section, and the program concludes with Joseph Schwantner's "In Evening's Stillness" and the classic work for winds, "Lincolnshire Posy," by Percy Grainger.

General admission to Sunday's concert is $3.
