Guy Junior Evans

Guy Junior Evans, 78, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015.

Born Feb. 5, 1937 in Spencer, he was the son of Guy Albie and Frances M. (Galimore) Evans.

He was a 1955 graduate of Spencer High School.

He married Marjorie (Ewbank) Evans on March 9, 1957, and she survives.

Guy retired from IBM Corp., where he had worked as a press operator. After his retirement from IBM, he worked at FB Distro.

He was a member of Brick Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; children Ronda Mumford, Keith (Kathy) Evans, Sandi (Chris) Wilson and Ernie Evans; three sisters, Hazel Christy, Kathleen Gregson and Nina Pless; a brother, James (Karen) Evans; three grandchildren, James M. Evans, Katherine Mumford and John Mumford; a great-granddaughter, Lilliana Evans; several nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Darcy Evans.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Bowling Green, Ind.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
