CHS loses in J7 Shootout title game

LINTON-The Cloverdale boys' basketball team had an easy time dispatching the Riverton Parke Panthers in the first game of the J7 inaugural J7 Sports Grille Shootout Saturday afternoon at Linton. Cloverdale led 33-4 after the opening stanza and coasted the rest of the way.

"Cloverdale's a good squad but that's why we invited them. It's a good experience for us and we'll see what we can do on a short turnaround," Linton-Stockton coach Joey Hart said.

Cooper Neese led the Clovers with 26 points. Jalen Moore added 18.

CHS lost to Linton-Stockton in the championship game 63-49.
