Shirley Ann Stratton

Shirley Ann Stratton, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015.

Born Sept. 4, 1944 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Charles Harvey and Dorothy (Rader) Harvey Sillery and attended Greencastle High School.

Shirley was a homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Richard) Ford, Kelley (Daniel) McGinn and Kandi O'Neill (Steve Branch); sisters Rosie Gott, Jackie Beck, Pam Whitlow and Tina Sillery; brother Jerry Sillery; eight granddaughters and two grandsons; and seven great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Les Whitaker and George Stratton; her parents; a daughter, Karen Shrewsbury; and a son, Jeffrey Wayne Whitaker.

Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at the funeral home.
