Annual Christmas in Roachdale set for Friday, Dec. 11

ROACHDALE -- The town of Roachdale is hosting its annual Christmas in Roachdale celebration this Friday, Dec. 11 from 5-8 p.m. in its downtown area.

Several events have been scheduled to take place, most notably a Christmas parade with Santa and Mrs. Claus beginning at 6 p.m. Following the parade will be the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree by the winner of the Coloring Contest.

Free horse-drawn trolley rides will be available throughout the evening to whisk visitors to and from each event.

Other events include free crafts for the kids and canvas painting at the Roachdale Fire Department, and a scavenger hunt will be available for all to join.

Local merchants will be open late with door prizes all through the evening.

The VFW, among others, will be serving food from 5-9 p.m., where kids can get a free picture with Santa.
