Cloverdale to play big in some big ticket games

The Cloverdale boys' varsity basketball team will have some opportunities to play basketball in some fantastic venues this season. Starting on Dec. 26 and concluding on Dec. 30 the Clovers will take part in the First Financial Wabash Valley Classic (formerly the Pizza Hut Classic) at Terre Haute North.

The Clovers will open the tournament with a game against Shakamak beginning at 10 a.m. on Dec. 26. Tickets at the door can be purchased each day for $7 but Clover fans can purchase pre-sale all-tournament passes for $20 at the High School Office beginning now and running up to December. The Cloverdale fun will not stop in Terre Haute. The varsity game against Covenant Christian High School, which was originally scheduled at Covenant Saturday, Jan. 9, will take place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse with a 2:15 p.m. tipoff.

Compton Strategies, an Indianapolis-based company that specializes in event management, sales marketing, and radio/TV programming, is hosting The Really Big Basketball Show. It is a five-game high school basketball event at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Jan. 9. The schedule will include games between Eastern Hancock/North Decatur, Shelbyville/Columbus East and Lebanon/Brebeuf Jesuit.

Tickets for the event are available pre-sale in the Cloverdale Front Office or at the gate the day of the event. Advanced tickets are $8 for students and $12 for adults. All tickets at the gate will be $14.
