Pickett - 75th Anniversary

On Sunday, Dec. 20, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pickett will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary as devoted husband and wife.

High school sweethearts Jack (now 96) and Vivian (95) were married the evening of Dec. 21, 1940 by Rev. Cecil Fellers of First Christian Church.

Jack served overseas in World War II and Vivian remained in Greencastle, working and waiting for his return.

They have been truly blessed to spend these 75 years together in a marriage so loving they are still called "newlyweds."

The family invites relatives, friends and neighbors to celebrate the Picketts' diamond anniversary with them at Mill Pond Assisted Living Center from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20.

No gifts are requested, but cards would be truly appreciated.
