Donald Alan 'Donnie' Hansen

Donald Alan "Donnie" Hansen, 54, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015.

Donnie was born on Sept. 22, 1961 in Greencastle to Ronald Ellis Hansen and Barbara Jean Mason Hansen.

He served his country in the Indiana National Guard.

Donnie attended Ivy Tech Community College and had been employed at the Putnam Inn and Happico.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Mason Burkett, and his brother, Ricky Lee Hansen.

Surviving are his son, Christopher Lee Hansen; his father, Ron Hansen and wife Jane; a sister, Carolyn Sue Miller and husband David; a half-sister, Rhonda Brotherton and husband Chris; stepfather, Richard "Dick" Burkett; and many nieces and nephews.

Donnie had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, spending time at Turkey Run on the nature trails and canoeing, fireworks and his cats.

A private celebration of life will be held in Donnie's memory.
