Mildred O'Neal

Mildred O'Neal, 78, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016.

She was born on Sept. 18, 1937 in Greencastle to Arvel and Zella Roach.

Mildred married Chet O'Neal on Oct. 23, 1953, and Chet was by her side as her caregiver throughout her lengthy illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jim Roach; three sisters, Kate Marshall, Margaret Underwood and Lucille White; and a daughter-in-law, Teresa O'Neal.

Surviving are her husband Chet; her children, Brad O'Neal and wife Kim of Mt. Carmel, Ill., Jeff O'Neal of Greencastle, and Kim Williamson and husband John of Greencastle; a brother, Tom Roach and wife Suzie of Greencastle; four grandchildren, Jessica Zimmerman and husband Jon, Rebecca O'Neal, Brittany Williamson and Hannah Williamson; and three great-grandchildren, Brady Morris, Chloe Zimmerman and Hunter Zimmerman.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kelzo "Buck" Martin officiating.

Memorials in Mildred's name may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
