Bobby J. Burkett

Bobby J. Burkett, 85, Danville, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 at Hendricks Regional Health.

He was born in Indianapolis on April 8, 1930, the son of Oscar Burkett and Fern E. VanCleave Agin.

Bob was the Hendricks County conservation officer for 36 years.

He was a charter member of the Plainfield Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) and was a hunter, fisherman and enjoyed all nature and wildlife.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Starkey, Danville; son Rex Burkett, Danville; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents; wife Marjorie M. Norris Burkett; son Bobby Burkett, and a grandson, Jesse Burkett.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, with calling on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Private burial will follow in the Brownsburg Cemetery.
