The all-state ensembles at the Indiana Music Educators Association convention will feature Greencastle seniors Mattia Seaman (left) in the All-State Orchestra and Logan Beck in the All-State Choir. The convention takes place Friday and Saturday in Fort Wayne.

A pair of Greencastle High School seniors are set to perform at the Indiana Music Educators Association convention this weekend.

Vocalist Logan Beck will perform with 2016 Indiana All-State Choir, while Daniel Mattia Seaman will play the French horn in the 2016 Indiana All-State Orchestra.

The IMEA convention will take place Friday and Saturday, Jan. 15 and 16 in Fort Wayne.

This is the second straight all-state honor for Beck. He was selected on the basis of a singing and sight reading competition at Mooresville High School in September.

Beck will perform with approximately 200 fellow singers from all over the state, under the direction of Dr. Anton Armstrong.

At GHS, Beck is a member of the Classics Choir and was seen playing the role of Danny Zuko in the GHS spring production of "Grease."

The Greencastle choirs perform under the direction of Debby Lambert.

Seaman is one of four students from the state selected to play the French horn in the all-state orchestra, which performs under the direction of Dr. Louis Bergonzi.

At GHS, Seaman is a member of the high school concert band, pep band and jazz ensemble, all under the direction of Bob Hedge.

Seaman is also one of 59 high school musicians who was chosen to perform with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra for the 24th annual Side by Side Concert, which will take place on March 16 at the Hilbert Circle Theatre.
