Examination of Alzheimer's disease set Jan. 19 at PCPL

The public is invited to join presenter Sydney Cason for a Brown Bag Talk on Alzheimer's Tuesday, Jan. 19.

The program "Emperor of All Dementias: An Examination of Alzheimer's Disease" is set for 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Putnam County Public Library, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle.

Alzheimer's disease is an elusive and fatal disease that affects millions of people in the United States.

In a short presentation and question-answer session, Cason will discuss the underlying causes of the disease, recent research and the future of Alzheimer's treatment.

Attendees may bring their lunch. Light refreshments will be served.

Cason is an honor scholar and neuroscience major at DePauw University. He intends to pursue a PhD in neuroscience and study Alzheimer's disease as a career.
