June Young Sandy

June Young Sandy, 84, formerly of Brazil, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 with her family at her side.

She was born in Clay County on April 26, 1931 to the late Fred and Myrtle (Williamson) Baysinger.

June attended Staunton High School, and married Tommy Young on Sept. 25, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1966.

She went on to marry William Sandy on May 29, 1971. June and Bill were the owners of White Dry Cleaners in Greencastle.

She enjoyed traveling, shopping, painting ceramics and Willie Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tommy Young; her second husband, William Sandy; two brothers, Bobby and Fred Baysinger; as well as her sister, Jean Terril.

Survivors include a son, Ed Young, Brazil; a daughter, Barbara (Paul) Campbell, Brazil; three grandchildren, Tammy (Chris) Dean, Neil Campbell and Kelly (Jason) Colclasure, and five great-grandchildren, Tillie Dean, Heidi Dean, Izaiah Campbell, Jakob Colclasure and Sheila Colclasure.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Moore Funeral Home, Brazil, with Pastor Bob Kumpf officiating and burial to follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.

The family will accept friends for visitation on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
