BG: What is different this year being a senior?

RC: The only real difference is the realization that that we only have technically 23 games if none are snowed out or canceled. So it's the fact that I'm running out of time to perform and play with the guys I enjoy playing with the most. That's the scariest part.

BG: Who are some of your biggest supporters off the court?

RC: My parents are really big supporters. My AAU coach, he's a really big supporter. All of the coaches that are on staff are big supporters of me. Basically, all of the fans. I would say everyone in the community is a big supporter.

BG: What is it like having a support group like that?

RC:It's pretty awesome. We draw some pretty decent sized crowds and its cool when they get into the game. Sometimes we'll go and talk to the fans and its awesome to interact with them.

BG: What is your favorite thing about your teammates?

RC: Not just so much on the court but even off the court we are a really tight group. We are all really good friends. We'll always just hang out and really enjoy the year. They are a fun group of people to be around.

BG: What is your favorite thing about basketball?

RC: Every player loves scoring. But my favorite thing is just to get the win. The points I can score don't really matter if we don't get the win. As long as we are getting wins, having fun as a team and playing together that's my favorite part.

BG: What can sports teach you about life?

RC:It can teach you a lot like communication. Getting out to know people, supporting the community things like that. That's great. Teamwork is a really big thing that I think sports helps me with. I think being able to get out of my comfort zone is something that helps me more than anything with basketball.

BG: It was just reported that you are 34th nationally in points per game? What is it like being that high on the list?

RC:Honestly, that's not a big thing to me. Like I said. I'm more concerned about getting the win than anything else. It's cool that I'm up there in point per game in the State but to me that's not the biggest thing. The biggest thing is just improving as a player and getting the wins for the team.

BG: What are your post high school plans?

RC: I'm planning on going to play college basketball obviously. I'm looking at Judson University. That's probably my top pick. I want to study pre-pharmacy. I've talked to the teacher there. The teacher is really nice. He's a really good guy. It was nice to interact with him and get to know him. I don't like a big college really. A small community college is nice for me. Just 5,000 kids where everything is close together. Everyone is nice and knows each other, I like that.

BG: What got you interested in pre-pharmacy?

RC: That was my uncle. I have an uncle in Florida who does that kind of stuff. He talked to me about it and I kept looking into it more and more. Eventually I found I'd really want to do that in my future.
