Ronald 'Bub' Paul Buchanan Sr.

Ronald "Bub" Paul Buchanan Sr., 52, Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis.

He was born on May 29, 1963 in Putnam County, and was the son of Hugh Edward "Buck" Buchanan and Betty Lou (Hanlon) Buchanan.

Ronald "Bub" loved being outdoors, hunting, four-wheeling or simply doing things around the house.

He was a very loving and devoted husband, father and brother.

He worked 26 years at IAC as a process tech and was greatly loved by his co-workers and friends. He was a member of UAW 2382 and Abate.

He married Peggy A. (Hill) Buchanan, and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Ronald Paul Buchanan Jr.; his daughter, Kayla Buchanan; his son Mitchell Berry; his grandson, Braxton Paul Buchanan; his sisters, Sharon Denny and husband Dave, Shelia Jones. Karla Thomas, Becky Elkins and husband Toby; his brothers, Donald Buchanan and wife Denisa and Dennis Lambert and wife Pam; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Ben Strunk.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25 at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Danville South Cemetery.
